Biography

It’s 2:30 AM… The club has just let out. While most college students can be found stumbling down the street, lining up for a post-party banquet at McDonalds, 22-year-old Pete “Butta” Brockman can be found packing up from a long night at one of his residencies. Balancing life as a student at Penn State while entertaining many on a weekly basis, Pete Butta shows a personal drive well beyond his years. However, the young student in him clashes with his professional side every now and then, stating “Sometimes its tough watching my peers having fun while I’m alone behind the wheels – but where would the party be without me?”
Learning to drive the “wheels of steel” before an actual auto, Butta spent much of his adolescent years building a resume most teens would beg for. Capturing multiple 1st place awards in local DJ Battles gained him attention from the local rhythmic station, and a slot on college radio without a high school diploma. Penn State’s student radio station WKPS provided his outlet for featuring artists as well as the “Get Focused” mixtape brand. Now entering his second half of college, Pete Butta has garnered the attention of the national music industry while establishing a solid base in Pennsylvania, working with companies such as Sirius Satellite Radio, Red Bull Energy Drink, and Def Jam Records.
When the challenges of large shows and crowds have come knocking, Pete has answered every time. He has shared the stage with many artists including Sean Paul, Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah, Ying Yang Twins & The Clipse, as well as one of his original inspirations, Hot 97 icon Cipha Sounds. With a long list of accomplishments under his belt, his focus does not stop, and will continue to ensure that thousands more are sure to experience the sounds of Pete Butta.
